CIW’s exam 1D0-525, “CIW v5 e-Commerce Designer”, is an elective requirement for the CIW Professional certification, and one of the requirements for the Master CIW Designer certification. It is designed for candidates who “design and implement commerce-driven Web sites, identify customer needs, monitor customer usage patterns, determine order processes and service after sales, and consider how e-business solutions can increase sales.” These candidates typically fulfill these roles: network server administrators, firewall administrators, systems administrators, application developers, IT security officers, marketing and communications professionals and Webmasters.
The prerequisites for this exam are: 1) to fill out the on-line CIW Certification Agreement; 2) to hold the CIW Associate certification; and 3) to pass exam 1D0-520, CIW v5 Site Designer. This exam, which is offered in English, Japanese and Korean, is easy to moderately difficult and costs $125 USD. You can take the exam at any Prometric or Pearson VUE.
The pass score for this form-based multiple choice exam is 49 correct answers out of 70 questions, or at least 70%. There are 70 questions and the exam has a duration of 75 minutes. The topics covered by this exam include: - Evaluate an e-commerce site to maximize audience usability
